October 6, 2008 Fall is here, full of splendor, including some fabulous flavors! This is my favorite time of year – crisp air, crunchy leaves, and the delicious aromas and tastes of maple, pumpkin, apple, cranberry, etc. Here at Casablanca Coffee Co. we’re definitely serving up fall, in cups and on plates! Pumpkin Spice is our coffee of the month (to be followed by Vermont Maple Nut) and Pumpkin lattes and smoothies are featured on our daily specials board. Apple Muffins are here (with Pumpkin soon to follow), Maple Nut Scones are in and we’re in research and development on Pumpkin Scones. The newest pastry item to hit the case (and fly right out again) has been our new Pumpkin Mocha Brownie. We’re making them fresh, right in-house, and they are delicious! SOUP has also blown back in for the season. We usually circulate a number of standard offerings, like tomato, chicken noodle, and cream of mushroom, along with some seasonal favorites, like butternut squash. In September, we participated in the Marist College Wellness Fair, offering coffee, smoothies, and yogurt parfaits for sampling. We had a great time, met a lot of nice people, and were able to acquire some useful feedback. If we saw you there – thanks for visiting us! October 9th will see us at the Second Annual Wine, Beer, & Food Festival for the Ryan McElroy Children’s Cancer Foundation, being held at The Grandview in Poughkeepsie, NY. The event is from 6-9pm, and tickets will be available at the door. For more information please contact Erin Reverri – Ereverri@ryansfoundation.org, or check out www.RyansFoundation.org. This is a GREAT cause. The organization helps not only children and families touched by cancer, but they help all sufferers devastated by childhood disease. We will be offering coffee and baked goods to sample and will have bags of coffee, boxed pastries, and Casablanca Coffee Co. gift cards, available for purchase. Please come visit us at the event, or make a donation directly at the Foundation’s website. We hope your enjoying all that fall has to offer, we definitely are! See you soon! 2008-10-07 02:04:34 GMTComments: 0 |Permanent Link
